If you’re looking more for that heavily posed, manufactured sunset, filtered image photography, we’re probably not the guys you’re looking for.
What’s your primary style?
Visit our about page or really, the best way to get a feel for our style is to check out our work. We like to tell a detailed story, one where we capture real moments with real emotion, all the while working through your event as unnoticed as possible. The word being thrown around right now for that kind of photography is photojournalism. We will gladly also do the more “traditional” shots that your mom and dad are going to want. But really, we want you to be able to relive your wedding day every time you pull out your album and look at your images.

What happens if my event lasts longer than scheduled? Will you stay? Is there an extra charge?
We regularly customize collections to meet each couple’s needs. With our full day coverage collection, we are there for the entire event. No hidden fees. No awkward goodbyes. We’re there. Promise.
I want to book Ashe Photography Studio for an event. What’s next?
First off, you’re awesome and we can’t wait to meet you. Second, send us a quick email and we’ll meet up in person to go over the details.
My event is over. Now what?
Tyler + Chris go through every image, removing the undesirable ones (where we caught you blinking, etc), and then go ahead and color correct and post process every one so it looks exactly how it should.
When and how will I get my images?
We work fast, but remember it’s just the two of us guys. Give us some time to get that whole post-processing thing done. We’ll get you your fully-edited, high resolution images on your very own personalized digital gallery as soon as possible. You’ll also get a non-commercial print release, which will give you the tremendous power to print and share all your images with friends, family, and other loved ones you’ve got stashed around.
Where is Ashe Photography Studio located?
We’re located on Long Island, NY, just a short ride outside of NYC. We don’t have a studio space or office because really, we don’t need one. All our photos are captured on location and having a studio space would just result in having to raise our prices to our couples. And that’s not cool.
Where are you willing to travel?
We love planes, trains, and automobiles. The movie and the modes of transportation. We’ll gladly travel pretty much anywhere you want. Anywhere from NYC to the East End of Long Island is all good and groovy and included in our current pricing. Outside of that area, we will agree upon a set travel fee.
What kind of equipment do you use? Do you have backups?
We can give you an actual list if you want, but we both use top of the line Canon gear. Just ask our wives. We love spending money on the best gear around. That’s just how we roll. And we always bring along plenty of backup equipment because, hey, you never know.
What’s your best advice when choosing a photographer?
Don’t just look at their select “portfolio”. Look through all of their shoots (typically found in a blog format), which will give you a feel of the images they produce. Do you like their style? Does it feel right? Are their images consistently awesome, or are there a bunch of duds mixed in?
How long are engagement sessions?
Approximately 90 minutes. We’ll go someplace special to you, or if you need some suggestions, we have plenty of those, too.
Should I change my outfit for my engagement session?
That’s completely up to you. Most couples like to plan on wearing two different outfits, one more casual and the other a bit more formal.
What should I wear for my engagement session?
Solid, bold colors work best. And of course feel free to wear fun accessories that show off your personality. You totally don’t have to match your partner, but aim for something complementary. And be comfortable. Wear clothes you feel amazing in.
Should I get my hair and make-up done for our engagement shoot?
That’s a great idea! Many brides-to-be take advantage of their wedding hair and make-up trial to see how it photographs.
Can we bring props to our shoot?
Yes! Bring stuff that brings out your personality. Guitars, wine/champagne and glasses, old vintage cameras, balloons, blankets and throw pillows, picnic, lawn games… you think of it, we’ll incorporate it.
Are you insured?
Yes, for a cool million, which is pretty much what every catering hall around these parts requires at this point. We always provide the venue our liability policy certificate upon request.
Why should we consider a first look/reveal?
Taking the majority of your photos before the ceremony just allows for so much more freedom in your day. There is no rushing around trying to get all your photos crammed in a short time period, and who knows, maybe you’ll actually get to enjoy the cocktail hour or some private time with your newly married spouse before the reception. Trust us, doing a first look is pretty much a super great idea.
My mom and dad wants those super boring family shots. Is that okay?
We get it. We have moms and dads too, and when we got married, they wanted us to get our photo taken with every family member under the sun. Even Great Aunt Sally. Yes, we’ll get it all done. As we get closer to your event, we will have you fill out a questionnaire with all the special photos you want to make sure we capture.
What will you wear to our event?
We’re pretty much splitting images of Adam Levine, so a ripped white tshirt and super skinny jeans is what we normally wear. No, not really. We dress the way your guests will be dressed, so we can simply blend in and go as unnoticed as possible.
How far in advance should I book my wedding?
We usually book up to two years in advance from today’s date.

Ugh, we hate talking money. Seriously, it’s the worst. We have three standard collections that you can look through, but we also are happy to customize a package that meets your needs and budget. Check our Investment page for more info.
