The year just seems to fly by. It seems like just yesterday we were starting our 2016 Long Island wedding photography season, and we’ve already reached the end. How is it that we are consistently blessed with the most beautiful, kind, and genuinely amazing couples? To all of you, thank you. We love what we do, and it’s because of each and every one of you.
So Mimi + Nick. They have one of our favorite stories. We first met them way back when they were guests at Meghan + Ryan’s wedding at Giorgio’s of Baiting Hollow. When it came time for the bouquet toss, Mimi had determination in her eyes. And one thing we’ve learned about Mimi is that when she’s determined, there is no stopping her. Bouquet victory was hers. Nick was then quickly set-up by all his friends to catch the garter without his knowledge.
It was inevitable. A few months later, they were engaged.
When it came time for Mimi + Nick’s Long Island engagement photography session, Mimi had a clear vision. Pinterest boards were created. Multiple teepees were ordered (she needed to find the perfect one)! And with some persistence of visiting pretty much every Home Goods on the island, she amassed quite a number of unique props to make her Long Island Bohemian-inspired engagement photography dream a reality. It was pretty epic.
When it came time for Mimi + Nick’s wedding at the Miller Place Inn in Miller Place, NY, we knew it was going to be a beautiful day. Usually by the first week in November, all the leaves have fallen off the trees. However, it was unusually warm leading up to their big day, which lead to plenty of vivid colors painting the landscape for all of Mimi + Nick’s portraits at Wildwood State Park in Wading River, NY.
Congratulations Mimi + Nick! We are so incredibly happy for you both, and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together!
