It all started with an “innocent” frisbee toss at West Meadow Beach, which was purposefully thrown over Vladimir’s head with a trajectory path destined to land right next to… you guessed it, Allison. And although the story of how they met is absolutely adorable (and super smooth, Vladimir… you’ve got moves), their wedding day was even better. It was beyond breathtaking.
A gorgeous October day (albeit a bit chilly at times), we were totally thrilled that Allison + Vladimir put their photographs at the top of their wedding priority list. Check this out… a reveal at the Old Field Point Lighthouse. Some time in the Village of Port Jefferson. AND to finish it off, stunning views in a vineyard on Long Island’s east end. Sounds like a pretty legit photography day to us… and it was.
Pair that with the fact that Allison + Vladimir are two of the sweetest, most genuine people we’ve come across, and we knew it was going to be an epic day. What we didn’t know, however, was what an amazing group of people their family and friends were. Man, these people knew how to party. You could tell how much love was in that room, it was actually tangible.
Congratulations Allison + Vladimir. We are so honored that you chose us to document your special day. Enjoy your The Vineyards Wedding Photography preview!
Allison + Vladimir chose the picturesque Old Field Point Lighthouse for the location of their reveal. We love this lighthouse… even if it was a bit chilly out. Okay, it was freezing. But Allison was a champ and didn’t let it show at all!
Instead of the usual reveal where the bride taps the groom on the shoulder, Allison + Vladimir had a specific vision where they would turn a corner and instantly see each other. We think this worked out pretty darn awesome. And Vladimir was a complete gentleman, immediately taking off his coat to cover up the shivering Allison (after taking a good long look at his beautiful bride, of course).
Spend 10 minutes with Vladimir, and his sense of humor will shine right through. When it was his turn to sign the Ketubah, he jokingly got “cold feet” and said I can’t do this and ran for the door. Even we couldn’t hold in our laughter… but luckily grabbed a photo of the moment.
There was a balcony off of the bridal suite that we thought would be perfect to grab an aerial view of The Vineyards ceremony. We aren’t what you would call the most physically fit people in the world, but Chris hustled his behind up there to grab this stunning shot.
Party time. And guys. This was the party to end all parties. Allison + Vlad’s family and friends really know how to have a good time. Case in point… bottles of vodka on every table for celebratory group shots. And there was a lot of celebrating.
An epic choreographed first dance? Of course!
Vladimir’s sister put together a beautiful montage. It was amazing. She had people laughing, crying, and embracing one another. That’s a heck of a great tribute for the new bride + groom!
Then the dance floor opened up…
Thank you to all the amazing vendors that made Allison + Vladimir’s day absolutely magical!
